Purpose

The scope of METAVASI S.A. is:

a) the diversification of the activities in the areas of just development transition, where the Just Development Transition Plan (JDTP), the Just Development Transition Program (JDTP) and the Territorial Just Transition Plans (TJTP) accompanying the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF)-DAM Program 2021-2027 are implemented (as of article 2 of no. 37 / 37.9.2021 Act of the Council of Ministers -ACM). More specifically:

• the rehabilitation and exploitation of the lands, which are included in the Lignite Phase-out Zones (ZAP), whether they belong to the State or will be acquired by PPC S.A. or by third parties,
• the redirection/redesign of the business development prospects of these territories,
• attracting (soliciting), supporting and promoting investments and investment partnerships, as well as,
• the provision of support to facilitate development, business and investment plans and promote entrepreneurship in general in the transition areas.

b) the assistance of the Special Authority For Just Development Transition according to article 2 of Law 4872/2021

c) the permitting, deployment and monitoring of projects, which are implemented in the areas of Just Development Transition either as private, stand – alone projects or as concessions or as Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) under Law 3389/2005

d) the provision of comprehensive and continuous tailor-made support (end-to-end services) by providing relevant advisory services to project developers implemented within the transition areas

e) the role as the Main Final Beneficiary of the NSRF - DAM 2021-2027 Program,

f) the operation of the company as an expediting body for the drafting of Special Urban Plans (SUPs), as well as a contracting authority, regarding the relevant studies,

g) and the management and exploitation of real estate and the promotion of investments.
